School supplies for children in Orange and beyond.
Every August we pack school bags, books and supplies for children in the communities around the park.
The programme serves the districts closest to the park first: Orange, Kirkpatrick and the surrounding communities, then reaches as far as the donations allow.
Client families often give in memory of a loved one, and every donation is matched by Dovecot. A card in the school bag carries the name of the person honoured, if the family wishes.
Bags are packed on the park grounds in the last week of August. Volunteers are always welcome; it is a good morning's work.
