Steeped in history, kept like a garden.
Dovecot of St James lies across the rolling hills of Kirkpatrick Hall Estate in Orange, seven miles from downtown Montego Bay, and a world away from it.

A Madden’s family property, since 1948.
The park is owned and operated by Madden's Funeral Home, who have served Jamaican families across Kingston, Montego Bay and Lucea for more than seventy years.
Our promise is simple: high-quality service to the family, and a final resting place that is properly kept. Lawns cut, gardens flowering, ponds clear, the Book of Life up to date.
Grief needs somewhere to go. We keep an atmosphere of peace in which families can grieve, reminisce, and return year after year to a place that still looks loved.
Our information

Decoration guidelines.
A few gentle rules let every family decorate while the whole park stays a garden.
- Fresh flowers are welcome at any time; our team clears faded arrangements weekly.
- Artificial flowers may be placed in ground vases only, so mowing can continue safely.
- Glass, candles and food items cannot remain on the lawns overnight.
- Planting on or around graves is done by our gardeners. Ask the office and we will plant it for you.
- Decorations for Christmas and Easter may stay up for two weeks either side.
Our office is at 37 Union Street, Montego Bay, St James.
